JENNIFER is our language assistant. She is from Canada.

This is the flag of Canada...

Here is some information and pictures about this beautiful country.

Jennifer is from a city called Barrie which is located in Central Ontario, Canada, on the western shore of Lake Simcoe.  Barrie has a population of approximately 170,000 people.

Here are some pictures of this city on the lake!

The Barrie Waterfront

Wasaga Beach, Ontario
Fifteen minutes from Barrie is "Wasaga Beach" which is the longest freshwater beach in the world!

It is a popular tourist destination in the summer (Canada gets hot temperatures in the summer too!)

Canada is known for being very cold during the winter and there's always a lot of snow!

Snow Valley Ski Resort (7 minutes from Jennifer's house!)

Barrie is surrounded by many ski resorts where Canadians and tourists go to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports!

A collage of Jennifer's favourite things

Jennifer has been living in Madrid for over a year and a half and is enjoying the Spanish way of life!

Some of her favourite things include travelling, swimming, reading, writing, listening to music and drinking coffee!

Before Christmas time, Jennifer prepared this PP presentation about Recycled Art and proposed to create a piece of artwork using recycled materials.

And these were the results!

1ºE.S.O. 2012-2013

Our next activity with Jennifer was the creation of a piece of art work based on one of the new idioms that we learnt with her in this presentation:

And now, as homework for Easter Holidays, you have to create your own piece of handmade jewelery. Remember what Jennifer explained and if it's necessary, watch her presentation again:
